The Information Brochure for Admission into Bachelor in Education (B.ED) course for the Academic Year 2024-25 is as follows.
Duration: The duration of the B.Ed. Programme shall be for Two Academic Years.
Working Days: In each Academic year, there shall be at least 200 working days exclusively for the period of Examination and Admission. The minimum attendance of the students & the teachers should be 80% for all the coursework and practicum, and 90% for the school internship.

Eligibility:
The candidate must fulfill all the eligibility conditions as mentioned below:
Candidates with at least 50% marks in aggregate either in Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanities (45% in case of SEBC/SC/ST/PwD), Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology (B.Tech.) with Specialization in Science and Mathematics (As per AICTE Syllabus) with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto and 50% marks in aggregate for SEBC/SC/ST/PwD candidates, are eligible to apply for admission to the course.
The candidates who have appeared in their final year Graduation examination (both Arts/Commerce, Science and B.Tech) are also eligible to apply. Their candidature for admission is subject to the required aggregate percentages of marks at the Graduation level during the time of their admission failing which their claim for admission shall be canceled.
She/he must have passed Odia as MIL up to HSC level or any equivalent or higher examination or have passed Odia as a subject in the specific
examination conducted by BSE, Odisha of HSC standard.
The age limit as on 30.06.2024:
For SC, ST, SEBC Candidates – 33 years (She / he should not have been born before 30.06.1990)
For Women Candidates of all
categories (UR,SC,ST,SEBC) -33 years (She should not have been born before 30.06.1990)
For General Candidates- 28 years (He should not have been born before 30.06.1995)
For PH Candidates- 38 years (She / he should not have been born before 30.06.1985)

HOW TO APPLY
An applicant should take care of the following before filling the admission form:
-Visit www.samsodisha.gov.in and go to the B.Ed., B.H.Ed., and M.Ed. under Higher Education Department.
-Go through the B.Ed. Information Brochure available at https://te.samsodisha.gov.in very carefully.
-Check your Eligibility according to the Eligibility criteria given in the Information Brochure.
-For online application, fill up the B.Ed. Admission Form available in applicant Login.
-Please select the Social Category carefully.
-Please select the Centre of examination carefully.
-No Changes in the form are allowed once the online payment has been done.
-After the payment is made, take a printout of the form and bring it along on the day of admission at the allocated institution.
